Consultations at Ardan: What to Expect
A consultation is your chance to ask questions and meet your provider before you book a treatment. There’s no pressure, and you’re free to take your time. Here’s which services start with one, what happens, and how to schedule yours at our medspa.
Which consultations are complimentary?
Consultations for laser services and CIT with SkinPen are complimentary. That includes laser hair removal, LaseMD Ultra, KeraLase, and CIT with SkinPen.
Do injectables require a consultation?
Yes. Every injectable plan starts with a consultation with Susan Fallon, RN, on a Tuesday. This applies to Botox, Dysport, Restylane, and Sculptra. See our injectables page, or read the Botox and Dysport and fillers questions.
What about Potenza and other services?
Call us at 781-235-7788 and we’ll explain how a consultation works for the service you’re considering, including Potenza RF microneedling.
What happens at a consultation?
Your provider will:
- Review your health history, medications, and skin
- Talk with you about your goals
- Explain your options, what to expect, and the risks
- Suggest a plan, including how many sessions you may need
What should I tell my provider?
- Any medicines you take, including blood thinners and aspirin
- Allergies, including to numbing medicines
- Pregnancy, plans to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
- Skin conditions such as cold sores, keloids, eczema, or active acne
- Any recent treatments, such as peels, laser, or injections
Is there paperwork?
Yes. New medspa guests fill out a short medical intake form before they see their provider.
Do I need a consultation for a facial or HydraFacial?
No. Facials and HydraFacial treatments don’t require a consultation, and your esthetician will talk with you about your skin before you begin. The Serenity Facial ($125) and the Signature HydraFacial ($225) are comfortable places to start. See facials and HydraFacial.
Do salon services have consultations?
