HydraFacial or Facial: Which Should You Book?

Both treatments cleanse and refresh your skin, but they feel and work a little differently. Here’s how the Signature HydraFacial and the Serenity Facial compare, so you can choose with confidence. There’s no wrong answer, and your esthetician will help you decide.

What’s the difference between a HydraFacial and a facial?

A traditional facial is hands-on. Your esthetician cleanses, exfoliates, and treats your skin with masks and massage, and tailors each step as you go. A HydraFacial uses a handheld device that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates in a set sequence, with serums and boosters chosen for your skin.

Which should I book first?

Either is a comfortable place to start. Choose the Serenity Facial ($125) if you want a calming, hands-on treatment, or the Signature HydraFacial ($225) if you like the idea of a multi-step treatment with a smooth, hydrated finish. Your esthetician will talk with you about your skin before you begin.

Can I get both?

Yes. Your esthetician can help you plan which to book and when. Many guests book about once a month.

Which is better before an event?

Neither has downtime. If you’re considering a stronger treatment, such as a chemical peel, tell us your date so we can plan around it. You can see our peels and dermaplaning on the facials page.

What should I expect after either treatment?

  • Skin often feels smoother and more hydrated right away.
  • Wear sunscreen every day.
  • Tell your esthetician about any prescription skin care or recent treatments before you begin.

Is there anything I should do before I book?

Tell us about any skin conditions, allergies, or recent procedures. New medspa guests fill out a short medical intake form, and your provider will review your health history with you.
